About

Delaware County Field & Stream Association operates a comprehensive archery facility located at 713 Chester Creek Road in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. Since its establishment in 1951, archery has grown from a token sport into a major activity at the club, attracting numerous members and becoming one of the most popular disciplines offered at this 65-acre shooting sports complex.

The archery facility features three distinct courses designed to accommodate archers of all skill levels and interests. The Flat Course extends distances from 10 to 80 yards and utilizes modern block targets where only field points are permitted. Adjacent to the Flat Course is the Crossbow Range, which operates at distances of 13 to 29 yards and provides specialized block targets designed to handle the unique characteristics of crossbow shooting. The facility's state-of-the-art Field Course winds through wooded terrain and permits field points shot at block targets or three-dimensional animal targets throughout the lanes. This course includes five tree stand platforms positioned to offer shooting opportunities at a variety of 3D targets, with over 50 three-dimensional targets available year-round for both recreational shooters and serious hunters.

The archery range operates daily from 9:00 AM to sunset, with hours subject to vary slightly based on weather conditions and range officer availability. The facility welcomes shooters of every age and skill level, from beginners to experienced hunters seeking to practice their craft in a natural wooded setting. The club maintains detailed safety rules specific to archery, including restrictions on equipment types for different courses, specifications for arrow tips and points, and comprehensive protocols for safe arrow retrieval and range procedures. The facility is part of the larger Delaware County Field & Stream Association, which has served the outdoor sports community since 1939 and boasts over 4,000 members. The club grounds remain open 364 days per year (weather permitting), with membership applications available through the club office during business hours.
