About
The Nock Point is a full-service archery center located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, conveniently situated just minutes north of Seattle and the Eastside communities. Celebrating over 35 years of archery excellence, the facility serves the greater Puget Sound region, including Seattle, Everett, Tacoma, Renton, Bellevue, and Lynnwood.
The centerpiece of The Nock Point is its 20-yard indoor archery range, featuring a full-size NFAA/USAA regulation facility with 26 lanes that can accommodate up to 26 archers at a time on a single line. The range is professionally marked with clearly designated waiting, shooting, and target lines, with distance marks at 10 yards, 20 yards, 18 meters, and all distances in between. Movable backstops allow shooters to practice at distances as close as 5 yards. The range welcomes all bow styles except crossbows, making it suitable for recreational, Olympic recurve, barebow, compound, and bowhunting archers of all skill levels.
The facility is fully equipped with bow racks, equipment tables, and refreshments for patron convenience. Official maple leaf press targets are available for purchase, and additional targets cost just one dollar. Drop-in shooting fees are very affordable, with all-day adult passes at $21 and youth (under 16) passes at $11. Discounted shooting cards are available for stays ranging from 3 to 30 days. For those without their own equipment, The Nock Point offers rental equipment during shop hours—a complete recurve bow setup including arrows, armguard, and finger tab rents for $40 for adults and $25 for youth with no time limit, and the rental fee includes the range fee.
For serious archers, The Nock Point offers membership options providing 24/7 access to the range. Individual monthly memberships are $79, family monthly memberships are $99.95, individual annual memberships are $850, and family annual memberships are $1080. All memberships require a minimum three-month commitment.
Beyond the shooting range, The Nock Point operates a comprehensive pro shop featuring top-tier brands including Hoyt, PSE, Bear, Samick, and more. The shop carries a complete selection of bows, arrows, accessories, bow cases, quivers, finger tabs, arm guards, stabilizers, strings, and specialized components from trusted manufacturers like Easton, Axcel, Trophy Ridge, Spot Hogg, Hamskea, Quality Archery Designs, and Bohning.
The facility maintains a full service center offering complete bow setups and custom fitting for all major makes and models of compound and recurve bows. Services include draw length and weight tuning, free accessory installation with bow purchases, repairs on compounds, crossbows, Olympic recurves and barebows, traditional bows, custom arrow fletching, and quick-turn arrow repairs. Archers who purchase bows from The Nock Point receive free tuning for the life of the bow, zero labor charges, and only pay for parts or materials when needed. The service team also provides computer-generated sight tapes, custom arrow design, and custom-built strings and cables.
The Nock Point hosts regular community events, including Sunday League nights for competitive indoor shooting and the annual Nock Point Knock Out Tournament featuring bracket-style competition, qualification rounds, knockout shoot-offs, and prizes. Archery lessons, parties, and group events are available through the adjacent Next Step Archery training center, staffed by USA Archery-Certified coaches.
Customer reviews consistently praise The Nock Point for its welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. First-time archers appreciate the thorough safety instruction and supportive environment, with reviewers noting the staff's patience with children and genuine enthusiasm for helping shooters of all experience levels. The facility's service team is particularly praised for meticulous work—one reviewer described how a technician named Asa tuned a newly strung bow with exceptional care and attention to detail, working multiple times between the range and press to ensure perfect performance. Customers also highlight the remarkable value, with one visitor noting that The Nock Point's all-day pricing is comparable to just two hours at similar facilities in California. The range's combination of reasonable pricing, quality instruction, expert service, and friendly staff has made it a destination that draws loyal customers willing to travel over two hours to return.
